In the market to buy a property?

We have the knowledge and experience you need

If it's time to Move On then you've come to the right place.

At Move On we appreciate that buying your home will likely be the most important and expensive transaction you'll ever make.

We can help you find your perfect property. Our experience and knowledge of the area will ensure that everything goes smoothly.

The Home Buying Process

Work out your budget
One of the first steps when buying a property is checking how much you can afford. If you are looking to fund your purchase with a mortgage, we recommend speaking to a mortgage broker who can search all the available lenders and find the best deal to suit your circumstances

Move On work in partnership with some of the best Mortgage brokers in the area – call us on 01698 757125 or use our contact page to get in touch if you would like to chat with them

If your next property purchase is dependant on the sale proceeds from your existing home then you’ll want to know how much you can achieve when you sell. This is Move On’s area of expertise and you can book a free, no obligation valuation and appraisal with one of our team by calling, emailing or using our contact form.

You can still sell your property with Move On, even if you are buying from a different agent.

Begin your property search
You can view all the properties we have for sale on our properties page. We also advertise on Rightmove, Zoopla, Primelocation, s1homes, and Boomin, and by searching these sites you can see what other agents have for sale too and you can arrange viewing appointments for any that you think may be the right home for you

Register Interest & Making offers
When you find a property you like, you should register a “note of interest” with the selling agent. By doing this, you will be kept informed, and should anyone else also want to make an offer on the property you would be given the opportunity to submit your offer too, usually at a ‘closing date.’  Check with the selling agent on their process for offers – this can often depend on the level of interest a property has. You may be able to give a verbal offer to the agent (there could be some negotiations back and forth before you need a solicitor to send a written offer) or you may be required to send in a formal written offer right away. Whether you are selling or buying with Move On, our team will guide you every step of the way. If you need help arranging a solicitor, don’t worry, we can organise that for you too.

After your offer is accepted
Once your offer is accepted your solicitor will carry out all the legal work on your behalf (called conveyancing.)  You will need to let your mortgage broker or lender know about the property you are buying and they will complete your full mortgage application.  A suitable entry date will then be agreed with all the parties involved in the sale chain.

Our team will be with you every step of the way, until the day comes for you to Move On!

Mortgages

Our carefully selected Mortgage partners can find you the perfect mortgage for your individual requirements.

Banks and building societies can only offer you products from their own range, whilst our advisors can offer you mortgage products from the whole mortgage market ensuring you are receiving the best possible deal that is available for you.

We provide  completely unbiased advice and a range of mortgage products to suit every possible situation. Many of these options will not be available from High Street lenders. Our independent advisors are fully regulated by The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

We will  take care of you every step of the way, from initially finding a lender to accept you for a mortgage (also called a decision in principle), to processing the full application, liaising with your lender and solicitor on your behalf, arranging any additional insurances required, to seeing the full process through to completion – keeping you fully informed and updated throughout.

Solicitors

When selling or buying a property, you will require the services of a solicitor to carry out all the legal work on your behalf – also known as “conveyancing,”

Your appointed solicitor will take care of all the legal and administrative work associated with transferring the ownership of a property.

Don’t worry if you don’t already have a solicitor in place – the team at Move On work closely with some of the best solicitors in the local area and would be happy to arrange one for you.
